Abstract

In the article, the problem of preserving the traditions of Christian Orthodoxy in the works of modern Siberi- an authors Tamara Stepanskaya and Andrey Pozdeev is actualized. The content of the spiritual poems of the Barnaul poetess T. Stepanskaya, first presented in this study, as well as the paintings of the Krasnoyarsk artist A. Pozdeev are analyzed. A literary and art criticism analysis of linguistic and visual means is carried out, the peculiarities of the interpretation of Orthodox themes and images in works of art are revealed. On the basis of lexical and semantic analysis, the “spiritual problems of word usage” in Orthodox poetry are revealed. In the course of the research, it was revealed that the themes of asceticism, humility, patience, the search for truth and ideal, death, as the continuation of eternal life in heaven, the mercy of people, and the will for Christian perfection are key in Stepanskaya's work. The specificity of the intuitive comprehension of God by the artist A. Pozdeev was embodied in the master's canvases in a geometric and color solution in the form of signs-symbols. The images and themes of the works of modern Siberian authors are based on the moral and value system of Christian Orthodoxy, the author sums up.
