INSTRUCTIONS FOR REVIEWERS

Peer Review Process

The Bulletin of Karaganda University. Philology Series adheres to rigorous peer review standards to ensure the academic quality and reliability of published research. All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

Review Procedures:

  1. Reviewer Independence:

Reviewers are appointed by the Editor-in-Chief from among recognized experts in the relevant field. To ensure objectivity, at least two reviewers are invited from external organizations and are not members of the editorial board.

  1. Evaluation Criteria:

   Reviewers assess the:

   - relevance of the research,

   - novelty and validity of the results,

   - theoretical and practical significance,

   - identification of methodological issues or deficiencies.

  1. Review Outcomes:

Based on the review, the following decisions may be made:

   - Accept (including minor revisions),

   - Conditionally accept (with major revisions and re-evaluation),

   - Reject.

  1. Editorial Board Decision:

Articles with positive reviews are discussed at the editorial board meeting, where the final decision on publication is made.

  1. Negative Reviews:

In the case of one negative review, the manuscript is sent for an additional review. Manuscripts with two negative reviews are rejected, and the author is informed with a detailed explanation signed by the Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial Board Composition:

The editorial board is composed of experts in various areas of philology. To ensure high-quality peer review, external reviewers are regularly invited to provide independent and objective assessments.
