Advantages of using a film discourse in teaching language disciplines

The article will tell you about the opportunities that film discourse provides in the development of language skills and competencies of students in the process of teaching language disciplines. As part of the updated content of education in the country, special attention is paid to ensuring that students apply the knowledge gained in each subject in life, becoming functionally literate individuals. In this context, the search for optimal teaching aids and methods for teaching language disciplines becomes more relevant. In this article, we tried to reveal the potential of films in the development of listening, speaking, reading, writing and
vocabulary skills of students, as well as in mastering the national and cultural aspects of the language in the study of language disciplines, including the Kazakh language. In the course of the study, the effectiveness of the use of motion pictures as a didactic aid was examined and proved by the conclusions of scientists who conducted research in this direction. The results of the study showed that film discourse can make a significant contribution to the knowledge of the language in its real-life form, to the mastery of the national worldview and the linguistic picture of the world of the people who are the native speakers of this language.
