Abstract

The article reviews the works of Kazakh and world literature, which can be taught through coaching and mentoring methods. Nowadays coaching and mentoring in education are widely used throughout the world. The mentoring of young professionals by qualified teachers, which has been used since the Soviet period, leads to the idea that coaching and mentoring are old concepts in the field of domestic education. The article analyzes this historical factor and the modern application of coaching and mentoring in a comparative form. This review article examines the origins of coaching and mentoring as a method, and the history of their
implementation in education. Among all, the focus is on evaluating the prospects for teaching literary works using these methods. Teaching literature with coaching and mentoring methods (GROW model) can help people emotionally, psychologically, and didactically. The use of literary tools such as poetry, role play and metaphor are also helpful in supporting students.
