Abstract

In the scientific community, experts from diverse fields are actively involved in the study of sacred sites around the world. These sites hold significant cultural, traditional, and religious value, often embodying deeply rooted beliefs, superstitions, and spiritual concepts within a country or community. The exploration and analysis of these holy places provide valuable insights into the rich tapestry of human cultures and their expressions. Sacred places hold great significance in the culture of the Kazakh people, with many of these sites being closely tied to religious practices and beliefs. Time and national traditions also play a crucial role in
shaping the evolution of necronyms and agiotoponyms. This article explores the onomastic traces of the transformation process of necronyms in language and examines the broader global phenomenon while focusing on its situation in Kazakhstan. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate that the transformation of names associated with sacred objects in Kazakhstan is not an isolated phenomenon, but rather a reflection of a global process. Additionally, this research aims to establish a semantic and etymological classification of local sacred objects, shedding light on the linguistic and cultural dimensions of these sites. This
study focuses on examining the names of local tombs, cemetery complexes, mausoleums, memorial objects, and necronyms within the territory of Kazakhstan. The research work presented in this study offers a unique perspective by exploring the role of the political situation in Kazakhstan, national ideology, and specific views associated with historical periods in shaping the transformation and acceptance of necronyms as holy places. The article also analyzes the lexical fund of builders of agiotoponyms and their lexical-semantic meaning.
