In the article the sacred nature of the number in the mythopoetic picture of the world is considered. On the example of numerical symbols in culturally marked texts their sacred semantics and symbolism are described. Special attention is paid to the description of mythopoetic role of number in various archaic pictures of the world. It is traced how archaic ideas are reflected in the modern artistic consciousness and serve as the basis for the construction of new mythopoetic concepts and images. On the basis of the mythopoetic picture of the ancient world a ternary classification system that combines mythical deities is considered. The symbolic meaning and the secret meaning of sacredly significant numbers in the mythological and religious picture of the world are described.
The interpretation of the sacred semantics of the number, as well as to reveal their symbolic connotations of numbers allow to reveal their meaning from the point of view of theology, history of culture and mathematics. The authors come to the conclusion that the sacral symbolism of the number, captured in the myths and ancestors, has its interpretation in the modern perception of the
surrounding reality, as well as its idea of the sacredness of certain numbers, which is associated with the spiritual meanings of numerical messages.
