To the Problem of Identifying Strategies in Direct and Indirect Translation

Abstract

The article is devoted to the research of translation strategies of interlingual adaptation on the material of A. Nurpeysov’s trilogy “Qan men ter”. The main attention is focused on the consideration of ways to implement strategies in translations through the use of translation transformations. The paper attempts to find out the adequacy of the transfer of the specifics of the individual style of the original author in translated texts, the level of interlanguage correspondence of translations to the source text, and the degree of equivalence of the regulatory impact of the translated text on the original one. The analysis of the issue under study proves
the inconsistency of indirect translation due to significant losses in terms of content and expression. The study results will be of interest to specialists in the field of linguistics, and translation studies.
