Abstract

In the article some features of the conceptualization and categorization process, as well as the cognitive units associated with them are considered. Conceptualization is one of the main processes of human cognitive activity. It consists in the comprehension of all information entering the human brain and leads to the formation of concepts and conceptual structures in the human consciousness. The conceptualization process is accompanied by the mandatory categorization of all incoming information. As a result the determined
cognitive structures are formed. In the article, these processes are considered as interrelated and complementary if their main differential feature is the formation of mental cognitive structures.
