Abstract

The article provides a brief comparative review of the main works of Kazakhstani linguists and art historians of the early XXI century. The purpose of the study is to identify scientific approaches to the study of the landscape in the works of literature and painting of Kazakhstan. On the basis of systemic, linguistic, art criticism research methods, the content of monographs, scientific articles, and dissertations available for this period has been analyzed. In the course of the research, it was revealed that the study of the stated problem in Kazakhstan concerned the refraction of the landscape as an artistic and aesthetic phenomenon in the context of maintaining the continuity of national traditions in modern linguistics and art history. The landscape, as an object of research, was not considered by philologists from the standpoint of cultural linguistics, ethnopsycholinguistics, and linguistic conceptology. The main approaches to the study of the phenomenon of landscape in modern philology remain linguistic and literary. In the course of the research, conclusions were drawn about the activation of scientific interest in the problem of landscape in art history and linguistics in the second decade of the XXI century. Small scientific interest in the problem under study in the 21st century leaves gaps that require a scientific understanding of the landscape as a phenomenon that reveals the specificity and uniqueness of the national language and art of Kazakhstan in the modern world.
