Abstract

Two trends — the preservation of the original content and adaptation to foreign conditions — determine the specifics of the existence of the diaspora. They are manifested in the communicative behavior of its representatives. In recent years, Russians living in Kazakhstan and in other post-Soviet countries have been called  diaspora. Such qualification is not fully consistent with the definition of diaspora in terms of its formation.  However, by a number of criteria, in particular, by the mixed cultural code, the perception of the world, evaluative reactions, the Russian ethical community is still different from the others. The transformation of
Russian consciousness in the multicultural environment is explained both by the need to adapt to the conditions of existence in this environment and by the evaluative attitude towards them. The set of features that characterize the characteristics of behavior and perception, forms a diaspora consciousness. Diaspora consciousness is associated with the concept of identity, which consists of national, ethnic, personal components. Language does not always become a marker of identity, since diaspora can go to the language of the host country.
