Abstract

Thе article examines interpretation problem of autochthonous literary discourse. Literary discourse is understood as the author and reader’s communicative-cognitive activity, resulting in special world of meanings –text in combination with extralinguistic context. Considering discourse importance in constructing ethno-linguistic world picture, spatial factor’s role in generating literary discourse is proved. Discursive space is viewed through the prism of national specifics of autochthonous culture. In Kazakh ethno-linguistic world picture, space perception is represented in horizontal and vertical coordinates. Vertical space is conditioned by mythopoetic ideas about aboveground, terrestrial and underground worlds. Horizontal space is presented by main landscape type – steppe. The considered literary world is projected through metaphorical image of home, realized by concepts "steppe", "aul", and "yurt" as dominants of author's artistic discourse. The author's understanding of home is analyzed: home is steppe (ancestors’ homeland, "own" land), village (native land with nature, sounds and smells), family (relatives, tribesmen, aul), the person (inner world). The actualization of home understanding as family integrity is revealed. Traditional Kazakh ethno-cultural idea of home as symbol of unity and well-being of family, people and motherland is emphasized.
