Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the features of national cultural information in the names of land andwater. The authors consider the specifics of the national worldview, expressed in geographical names formed over the centuries and having a linguistic and cultural character, as well as the originality of the names of land and water, reflecting the life of the Kazakh ethnic group. Based on the research, the possibility of close contact with the geographical environment of nomadic cattle breeding, which is the focus of traditional Kazakh culture, was formulated. It is proved that this type of economy represents only certain geoecological
zones that have their own physical, geographical, and natural features. According to the authors, the ability of the population engaged in nomadic cattle breeding to adapt to the geographical environment is determined by the abundance of national worldview information preserved in the names of land and water names.
