This article examines the specific features of contemporary Kazakh language use within the modern digital and media communication space, focusing on the preservation of linguistic norms and the most common types of deviations. Linguistic norm is the main indicator of linguistic culture. When it is not observed, the structure of the language is disrupted. At the present stage, globalization processes and the rapid development of digital communication directly influence the internal structure of language systems, including the system of linguistic norms. Particularly in the modern context of the Kazakh language, the boundaries between the standardized literary language in virtual environment and public usage are becoming increasingly blurred,
leading to a complication of linguistic situations. The relevance of the research is explained by the fact that in the modern information society, the problem of codifying linguistic norms acquires particular significance. Deviation from the linguistic norm is not just a grammatical error; it is an important factor affecting the functional development of the language and the quality of communication. Non-normative usage influences public linguistic consciousness, forms false norms, and reduces speech culture. In this sense, this study is distinguished by the fact that it demonstrates deviations from the norm in the Kazakh language through specific examples and presents a clear opinion aimed at their correct usage. The study is based on materials from mass
media texts, transcripts of television and radio broadcasts, internet publications, and dictionaries documenting erroneous usage. The analysis identifies grammatical, orthographic, phonetic, semantic errors, translation based calques, and violations of stable phraseological units. The research employs comparative analysis, linguistic interpretation, discourse analysis, and contextual evaluation. The collected data were comprehensively analyzed from a theoretical perspective. The findings demonstrate that most deviations from linguistic norms are caused by inaccurate translation practices, the decline of speech culture, neglect of phonetic principles, and insufficient use of normative reference sources. Analysis of the results showed that in the processes of deviation from the norm, the majority of errors are repeated according to the same pattern. The article highlights the importance of language normativity for maintaining communicative clarity and safeguarding the cultural integrity of the Kazakh language. From a practical perspective, the results may be useful for journalists, editors, language teachers, and anyone seeking to improve their written and spoken Kazakh. The study concludes that preserving linguistic norms is essential for maintaining speech culture and ensuring high
quality communication in the Kazakh language. The research can contribute to the formation of linguistic culture, improvement of the educational process, enhancement of media literacy and translation quality, and ensure the preservation of the purity and culture of the language.
