Abstract

In the article one of the main concept of cognitive linguistics is mentioned, as well as the phraseological units, that build «good/evil» concepts, and their stylistic functions. Lexemes from compositions of M. Auezov were studied such as: good and evil, well-being, safety, mercy, clemency, delicacy, honesty, benefit, happiness, success, duty, good deeds, gentrice, good relationships, prosperity, agreement, harmful, stubbornness, charm, poverty, wealth, unhappiness, cruelty, accusation, trouble, bad feelings, anger, regret, sin,
revenge, unhappiness, laziness, disappointment, etc. Phraseological units are divided in to good and evil concepts according to their meanings. Due to this division the meaning of «good/evil» concepts that are opposite to each other was explained deeper.
