Abstract

In this article, the historical and artistic image of the historical figure Akzholtai Agybai batyr is considered on the basis of the category of historical discourse. Various versions of significant events and Legends of Аgybay batyr's life in the study of scientists are analyzed. The significance of the National Liberation uprising led by Kenesary Kasymovich in the novel “Qahar” by Ilyas Yesenberlin, the historical figure of Agybay batyr, the commander-in-chief of Khan Kene and the chief Sardar of the uprising, the connection of his artistic image in literary works with historical data will be discussed. The historical conditions in the novel are grouped according to a number of discursive formulas characteristic of historical discourse proposed by O. G. Plekhova. In addition, the interpretation of historical personality and historical facts in the literary text, which is the main discursive of the category of historical discourse, is studied. The image of Аgybay batyr is studied from the point of view of the main elements of historical discourse, such as the main events and their participants; contextual meaning; circumstances in the events; evaluation of its participants; information connecting the discourse with the events; chronological accuracy of events; substantive presentation of plots and dramatization. In the course of the study, traditional, comparative, comparative- analytical, interpretive, semantic methods were used.
