Abstract

The purpose of the article is a comparative study of the nouns of the Russian language and Telugu as a morphological category belonging to two different linguistic semantics: Indo-European and Dravidian. The introduction gives a brief description of the Russian and Telugu languages, as well as explains the relevance, significance and applied aspect of the work. This article discusses Telugu nouns. The concept of a noun and its grammatical category play an important role in colloquial speech. An example of comparative study of nouns in two languages is given, for example, a generic marker in the declension of a noun expressed in singular and plural. The problem faced by Indian students who speak Telugu when learning Russian as a foreign lan-
guage will also be voiced, and a recommendation for its effective study will be made.
