The article considers the fairy tale “Nesmeyana-Tsarevna” systematically. The focus is on identifying content and formal features in the gist of an epic work. Special attention is paid to the problem of genre form and method of depiction at all four stages of the epic work analysis on the principle of isomorphism. The isomorphism is logical to the natural connection between “chaos” and “order” in the correlation of the content and form of the studied categories in the text system. The signs of an unrealistic image identified at the first stage are systematically confirmed by a personality conflict at the second stage, clarified at the third stage, and at the fourth stage, the features of a specific image method are revealed. Along with the sought-after features of the nature of depiction and genre variety, the genre variety, genre, theme, idea, generic features, and style of the work are specified.
