Multilingual Kazakhstani youth and the state language

The aim of the article is to examine the attitudes of young people of Kazakhstan to the Kazakh language by analyzing the results of a survey conducted to determine the extent to which modern multilingual Kazakhstani youth use their native language — Kazakh. A survey for students of Nazarbayev University and Suleyman Demirel University, where the language of instruction is English, was conducted to determine the goal and level of the use of Kazakh, Russian and English, their attitude to the speech of high-ranking Kazakh-speaking public figures and the extent of their desire to improve the quality of the native language. This article describes the process and results of this survey, as well as summarizes the research results
