Verbalization of the concept of “Happiness” in Kazakh cognition

This article explores the verbalization of the concept of "Happiness" in Kazakh cognition. It analyzes the place occupied by happiness in the worldview of the Kazakh people and how it is reflected in their cognition. Each language possesses its own representative means and vocabulary, which reflect the cultural characteristics and national identity of its people. With the aim of determining the meaning of the concept of “happiness” through proverbs and other linguistic units, the worldview of the nation, its cultural values, and its attitude toward the surrounding world are revealed. In addition, the article examines how the relationship between language and cognition changes under the influence of societal development, historical transformations, and social factors. The role of happiness in an individual’s life and the specifics of its evaluation are also analyzed based on an associative experiment. The main goal of the study is to uncover the meaning of the concept of “Happiness” in the Kazakh language using dictionary data and to demonstrate how it is manifested through national cognition and worldview. The research aims to understand the lifestyle and values of the Kazakh people through the verbalization of this concept in the language. Based on linguistic data, the study seeks to determine the national character of happiness and its role in Kazakh culture. The research materials include articles and works by scholars dedicated to the concept of “Happiness” in ling uistics, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and other fields. As a result of the study, it was established that the concept of “happiness” holds an important place in the national culture of the Kazakh people.
