Концепт «страх» в русской и чувашской языковой картине мира

Abstract

This paper discusses the functioning of the concept of «fear» in the Russian and Chuvash languages. It is presented on the basis of a study of the novel «Black bread», written by the classic Chuvash literature novelist M. Ilbek, as well as the Russian paremias and phraseological units. The authors give an overview of linguistic and psychological works on this topic and present a classification of linguistic units on the basis of the presence the emotivity in these units. Comparative analysis of the Russian and Chuvash concept sphere made it possible to conclude that the synonyms, which actualize the semantic signs of the emotion of fear, are more representative in the Russian language, that they give a more detailed division of the Russian extralinguistic continuum. The article also considers the non-verbal indicators of emotions that have correspondences in the languages being compared.
