The oral history of the Kazakhs — is the spiritual heritage of the people

Abstract

This article deals with the oral history and the genealogy of the Kazakh people. There is scientific analysis of works on the study of one of the directions of oral folk art is given - the genealogy, which was passed frommouth to mouth. Genre features of the genealogy were considered, mention is made of the studies that were conducted before this time. Talking about the history of the study of the Kazakh genealogy, the works of H. Dosmukhameduly, K. Khalid, Sh. Kudayberdiuly, M. Kopeev, S. Mukanov, H. Argynbayev, M. Mukanov, V. Vostrov are considered. Oral history is a huge contribution to the spiritual heritage of the people, from this point of view, the study of the scientist A. Seydimbek occupies a special place. He attached great importance
to this trend in the literary work of the Kazakh people. The article deals with the research works of A. Seydimbek devoted to oral history.
